Jason has pursued his passion to create from when he first learned to wield a crayon. Since completing his B.F.A. in graphic design with a minor in art history, he has accumulated experience in the fashion and lifestyle industry. His various positions with clothing brands and public relations agencies have allowed him to shadow fashion royalty, participate in several New York Fashion Week productions, and assist celebrity clients. Jason currently resides in New York City, where he continues to work as a graphic designer and produce art.

 

Known alternatively in the art community as King Leo, Jason curates his identity with inspiration from his astrological sign and numerous musicians. He refers to his work as a visual diary while focusing on confessional themes. The mixed media artist also enjoys incorporating subverted pop imagery into his subject matter. Jason has exhibited in several group shows throughout New York State’s Capital District, New York City, and has work on display in Los Angeles, California.

 

The self-proclaimed “art-repreneur” strives to make art a more mainstream component of pop-culture. He believes society does not acknowledge contemporary art the way it celebrates other forms of entertainment. Jason hopes to encourage others to pursue their passion with confidence while advocating for individuality and self-expression.
